Certainly one of the highlights of my Stephenie Meyer Day/Bella’s Birthday Celebration this year was the opportunity to bring the Mitch Hansen Band to Forks again, and this time with the full band. 

Electricity in the air on Saturday night for two shows that brought an estimated 350 fans into the Twilight Lounge for the event as Mitch Hansen (Lead Vocals and Guitar), Brent Cook (Lead Guitar and Backup Vocals), Doug Epstein (Bass) and Gunn Iwata (Drums and Backup Vocals) gave the crowd two shows to remember. 

Mitch, Brent, Doug and Gunn hit the stage rockin’  - playing songs from their Twilight themed and fan favorite Endless Day CD.  One glance around the room could see countless fans singing along as Mitch belted out song after song during the 6:00 set.  By the time Mitch crooned Lullaby, the crowd had melted into the dulcet tones and harmonies of the perfectly executed ballad.

As the sun set on the little town of Forks, and the lights dimmed in the Twilight Lounge, Mitch and the band played a second set starting at 9:30 to a fresh crowd that was more wild than the first.  Leading out with the rockin’ Jacob Black, Mitch and the band set the tone for the late show, a little bit edgier than the earlier show to keep the crowd dancing.

Raves could be heard from the fans as the lights went up in the Twilight Lounge, many staying behind to shake the hands of the band, or share a few words.  The band signed autographs on CD’s, Shirts and books as well as posed for pictures with any fan that asked. 

Mitch and Brent also provided fans with a fabulous impromptu acoustic set in the Dazzled By Twilight Store on Sunday.  Nestled aside the Dazzled By Twilight Forest, armed with only two acoustic guitars and one worn out voice from the previous nights shows, Mitch and Brent delighted the customers with a short set and more autographs.

Dazzled By Twilight was honored to host the Mitch Hansen Band at the Twilight Lounge and we will definitely find a way to bring them all back again for an encore performance.   Not only is this a great band, with amazing songwriting skills and musicianship, but 4 of the nicest guys Dazzled By Twilight have ever met.
